Our Social Responsibility model, Iintegrated in GROUP ETE’S, has both an internal dimension, aimed mainly at employees, and well as an external dimension, which is aimed at the surrounding community, in all the geographies in which we are present.
- Promoting Education, science and technology, by establishing Protocols with scientific research institutions such as:
- ENIDH: scholarships and training.
- Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) of the University of Porto: Transporting Biologists on board our vessels to observe and record several species of cetaceans.
- Culture and sport: Transporting equipment for local festivals and schools in the Islands and sponsoring the rali racer pilto Renato Pita
- Social support, by transporting supplies and equipment to attend natural disasters such as the last earthquake in the Azores, the storm of 2010 in Madeira or the eruption of the Fogo Island Volcano in Cape Verde in 2014. Since 2017 Transinsular has a partnership with Sharing Love, association dedicated to donatios to Cape Verde.
- Local development, creating conditions for the development of local business fabric, by supporting the export of ex-libris products from the Azores and Madeira Achipelagos.
- promoting health, well-being and good work environment with of labor development policies.
- Permanent Ongoing training, contributing to strength the national Seafarers know-how.
- Job creation, career and mobility development, privileging the hiring of national seafarers.
- Encouraging a human resources management policy that promotes excellence and merit.
